Privacy Statement Premium ID
This is the privacy statement of Premium ID – registered trade name of PromoCat B.V. – official offices in Groningen at Zeewinde 9- 5 and registered in the trade register under number 70939373. We can be contacted via the methods described on our website.

 

This privacy statement explains the methods by which PromoCat B.V. processes the personal data of any involved parties, classified into the various processing activities.

 

We attach great value to the privacy of all persons and therefore process any personal data according to the privacy legislation applicable in the Netherlands and in the European Union. We also have a privacy administration system, and keep a record of our processing activities in a register of processing activities, as part of that system. We do of course apply appropriate security measures, both organisational and technical, in order to guarantee the security of the personal data.

 

To whom does this Privacy Statement apply?
This Privacy Statement applies to all persons of whom PromoCat processes personal data.

What personal data is processed by PromoCat?
PromoCat processes the personal data that you have provided to us, personal data generated during your visit to our website or by reading newsletters and personal data we derived from other sources.

 

Provided by you to PromoCat:

  • Contact data and other personal data required for:
    • implementation of the agreement;
    • provision of services; and/or
    • supply of products.
  • Personal data provided by you to PromoCat within the scope of newsletters for which you are registered.

 

Personal data received via our website:

  • Data about your visit to our website.
  • Data about the device with which you have visited our website, for example your IP address.
  • Your browsing behaviour and interests.

 

Personal data received from other sources:

  • Personal data received from public online sources such as company websites and Social Media platforms, such as LinkedIn.
  • Personal data obtained from the Trade register of the Dutch Chamber of Commerce or Land Registry.

 

Depending on the services provided and functionalities you use on our websites, we may process the following personal data of yours:

  • Name and address details.
  • Telephone number.
  • Date of birth.
  • E-mail address.
  • Company details.
  • Information you yourself provide in the open field in the contact form.
  • User name.
  • Login data.
  • Technical information about the device, such as IP address, identifiers in cookies and your browsing behaviour on our website.
  • Other personal data actively provided by you in correspondence and by telephone.

 

Why does PromoCat process your personal data?
PromoCat uses your personal data for various purposes:

  • To be able to give you a demo and to provide information
  • To perform the agreement and provide you with services
  • To communicate with you by sending emails, electronic newsletters and/or post

  • To improve the quality of our own services.

 

Protection of your data
PromoCat has taken suitable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against loss or any form of unauthorised processing. All persons who have access to your data on behalf of PromoCat are bound to confidentiality. PromoCat applies the generally accepted branch standards of technological and operational security in order to protect personal data against loss, abuse, change or destruction. PromoCat also has a protocol for the (timely) reporting of data leaks.

Contracting/ sharing of data with third parties
In certain cases, PromoCat may need to provide third parties with access to personal data. A (non-limitative) overview is given here:

  • Third parties, such as supervisory bodies and other organisations, in order to comply with our statutory obligations.
  • External suppliers required for the processing of your personal data for the purposes described in this Privacy Statement, such as ICT suppliers and suppliers of communication services.

 

Your personal data will only be transferred to the above-mentioned third parties for the purposes given in this Privacy Statement.

 

Third parties whom we supply with your personal data may themselves be responsible for compliance with privacy legislation. In such cases, PromoCat is neither responsible nor liable for the processing of your personal data by these third parties. Insofar a third party processes your personal data in the function of processor on behalf of PromoCat and therefore acting at the request of and according to the instructions of PromoCat, PromoCat will enter into a processing agreement with that third party, which complies with the requirements described in the Regulations.

 

Data outside the European Union
With the exception of personal data received via Google Analytics, PromoCat will not transfer any personal data to a recipient in a country outside the European Union.

 

Principles
When personal data is processed by PromoCat, PromoCat works according to various principles. Data processing may be necessary for performance of an agreement (to supply services or products) entered into by us, or may be necessary for performance of a statutory obligation. In some cases we will request your explicit permission, for example for the use of certain cookies or, if you are not our customer, for the receipt of commercial communication.

 

Finally, there are forms of processing based on a justified interest of PromoCat, such as processing within the scope of internal management, for the purpose of effective communication, quality improvement or direct marketing processing for customers and active contacts of PromoCat. In the latter case, you will always be offered an opt-out.

 

Retention periods
PromoCat will not retain your personal data any longer than is necessary. This means that we keep the data for as long as necessary for the purposes given in this Privacy Statement. As soon as you no longer purchase services or products from us and/or no longer make use of our website, and there are no further obligations between you and us, your personal data will be removed as quickly as possible. This does not include the data that we need to retain for longer because the law requires us to do so.

 

Automated decision-making and profiling
PromoCat does not make decisions on matters that may have (considerable) consequences for persons on the basis of automated processes.

 

There is no ‘profiling’ at PromoCat.

 

Your rights
You may request that PromoCat corrects, supplements, removes or protects your data if the information is processed in an incomplete or inaccurate manner or contrary to any statutory regulation. You are also entitled to request the information which we hold on you. The aforementioned rights may only be exercised with regard to your own personal data. These rights may not be exercised with regard to the personal data of other parties. PromoCat may request that you identify yourself for this purpose.

 

You are also entitled to object to the processing of your personal data. PromoCat will not cease processing if such processing is required by law or if any other compelling and justified grounds for processing exist, which have precedence over your interests, rights and liberties or which are related to the establishment, performance or justification of a legal claim.

At PromoCat, we attach great value to the quality of our work and to the satisfaction of our customers regarding our services. We therefore regularly conduct a survey whose results are used to continue to improve our services. Should there be any aspects with which you are dissatisfied, please inform your contact person at PromoCat. PromoCat retains the right to make adjustments or changes to this Privacy Statement in the event of changes in the processing or changes to legislation. PromoCat will inform you of any major changes. No part of this Privacy Statement is intended to produce any form of obligation or agreement between PromoCat and any visitor to this Internet site or to provide information in that sense.

In order to ensure the effective use of our website and in order to facilitate improved navigation for our visitors, PromoCat uses cookies in order to collect aggregated data. Cookies are small text files stored in the user’s browser.

PromoCat uses Google Analytics to gain insight into for example visitor flows, traffic sources and page views on our website. This means that Google acts as processor for the processing of personal data by PromoCat. PromoCat has signed a processing agreement with Google for that purpose.

 

Information collected using Google Analytics is anonymized where possible. For example, PromoCat is not given any insight into which individual visitors visit our website. Google will never process your full IP address and will always mask the final octet of your IP address.

 

The information thus acquired is stored by Google on servers located in the United States. Google is affiliated to the EU – US Privacy Shield treaty of the US Ministry for Trade.
